The night before Eid:
- Make dua and spend some time in remembrance of Allah
- Prepare everything for Eid morning the night before — clothes, etc.
Eid morning — before prayer:
- Wake up early for Fajr prayer
- Perform complete Ghusl (bath)
- Wear your best or new clothes
- Apply ittar (natural perfume)
- Do NOT eat before Eid ul Adha prayer — this is different from Eid ul Fitr where eating before prayer is Sunnah
- Recite the Takbeer on the way to prayer
- Go to the mosque or Eidgah by foot if possible
At the Eid prayer:
- Pray the two rakats of Eid with the congregation — the Imam will lead with additional Takbeers
- Listen attentively to the Khutbah (sermon) after the prayer — it is Sunnah to remain and listen
- Greet fellow Muslims with Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum
After prayer — Qurbani:
- Perform Qurbani as soon as possible after the Eid prayer
